The presentation of this mountain race was held at the Coín Town Hall, chaired by Mayor Francisco Santos and attended by the Councilor for Sports, Cristóbal Ortega; the president of the Camino para Renacer Association, Virginia Jiménez; the president of the Coín Triathlon Club, Juan José Romero; and the delegate in Malaga of the FAM, Antonio Calderón. "We are very happy and satisfied with the organization of this second test, which is a symptom of the great success of the first edition, because our natural environment and our mountains is an enviable setting to practice this sport and we needed a race like this in our municipality" , the councilor from Coin has highlighted.

The companies sponsoring the event, Marfesa, Prodomasa, Ambulancias Ayón and Loasur, as well as several of the collaborators, were also present at the presentation to present the race shirt. In this second edition, there are again two participation distances: a race of 12 kilometers and 500 unevenness, both for runners and hikers, and another of 21 kilometers and 1,000 unevenness meters that qualifies for the IV Provincial Cup Test of the Diputación de Malaga. Registration is already open through the Dorsal Chip platform until September 29 and there are already some 400 people registered. "Everything has gone smoothly, we are very happy and thanks to all the collaborators, sponsors and the City Council that has never let go of our hand and has accompanied us on this path, always at our disposal, providing what we have needed", explained Jiménez. For his part, from the club, Romero has highlighted that the test is within the provincial calendar thanks to its inclusion in the Provincial Cup. “The race was very well received and had an impact last year and we are sure that we are going to repeat it because many people who came in the first one will repeat it, plus the new ones that will come, so we have very good expectations”, he remarked. The mayor of the city wanted to highlight both the sports part and the tourist and social part of the event. "The most important thing about sporting events like this is the transmission of these values to the little ones who participate in the events and that we once again place Coín on the sports map of the province and Andalusia, with its subsequent impact on tourism" , has indicated. For his part, Antonio Calderón has thanked the organization for launching the test and has recognized the previous work of care, maintenance and improvement of the extensive network of trails that the municipality has. “If this test is carried out, it is thanks to the fact that the City Council has been working for many years to build and improve the unconventional facilities that are our lanes, trails and paths. It is to be admired and you give runners from Malaga and Andalusia the chance to come and enjoy this climate and these mountains”, he assured.

This test could not be carried out without the collaboration of a large group of companies and groups from Coín, which are the following: Ana Hevilla, Óptica Ordóñez, Joyería Méndez, Helados El Monaguillo, Harinas EL Molino, Harinas La Fuensanta, Fotógrafos Matagallar, Coín Mader, Buenavista Foot Clinic, Pin Decora, Rosa Hairdresser, Alameda Cafeteria, Soto Pools, Casa Paco, Star Fruits, La Charca Fruits, Activa – T and Compostura Luque y Guzmán.
