A simple cuisine based on garden products are the main characteristics of Coin's gastronomy. The "boiled soup", "poncima soup", the "gazpachuelo malagueño" and the "puchero" or "cabbage with pringá" in winter are some of the most traditional dishes in Coín.

The enormous variety and quality of the seasonal products that are grown in the Coineñas orchards facilitates the increase in the consumption of these products both at a private level and among the restaurant sector as the main base of our cuisine.

There are several traditional sweets that can be found in most bakeries and confectioners' shops made in the traditional way; rosquetes de huevo, rosquillas de ochío and empanadillas de cabello de ángel are a must at Christmas or Holy Week, although they can be bought all year round.
