PIZARRA - COÍN ON MOUNTAIN BIKE
Type of route: Linear
Difficulty: Moderate
Distance: 26 kms
Time: 2 hours
Leaving from Pizarra, in the middle of the Guadalhorce River plain, we will access, after enjoying the typical landscapes and aromas of citrus fruits, the largest cereal-growing area in the region: La Jara. Redoubt of horizons of yesteryear, free of cables, urbanizations, roads... and full of farmhouses, milestones and vestiges of the past.
La Jara, for those who know it or have heard of it, evokes tremulous green oceans, pulsating golden beaches and exhausting harvest days to the tiresome rhythm of the chicharra. But La Jara also ends: and it does so with the Rio Grande, a crystalline and green serpent with its head under the Sierra de las Nieves and its tail in the Mediterranean.
The route can be done in the opposite direction, starting in Coín.
